Den den daiko is a drum-like, hand held musical instrument with two heads, a handle, and beads attached to strings on either side of the drum. It's played by spinning the handle between the hands, causing the beads attached to the strings to hit the drum heads and produce a rhythmic sound.
It's a popular Japanese percussion instrument used in ceremonies, rituals and as a pure fun toy.
